The shrink package (1, 14), made of plastic material which shrinks under the effect of heat, has at least one opening (13, 20, 21) for the purpose of placing the package over the product (15) to be packaged. In order that a considerable amount of material and thus costs are saved whilst maintaining the transportation security and also in order that the energy consumption is reduced during the shrinking process, the shrink package (1, 14) is constructed of several layers in the region (12) adjoining the opening (13) or in at least one of the regions (22, 23) adjoining the openings (20, 21). <IMAGE>

Eine Schrumpfverpackung (1, 14) aus Kunststoffmaterial, das unter Hitzeeinwirkung schrumpft, weist zumindest eine Öffnung (13, 20, 21) zum Überstülpen über das zu verpackende Gut (15) auf. Damit bei gleicher Transportsicherung erheblich Material und damit Kosten eingespart werden und auch der Energieverbrauch beim Schrumpfen verringert wird, ist die Schrumpfverpackung (1, 14) in dem an die Öffnung (13) angrenzenden Bereich (12) bzw. in zumindest einem der an die Öffnungen (20, 21) angrenzenden Bereiche (22, 23) mehrlagig ausgebildet.
