[origin: EP0314664A2] On the baseplate for a closure mechanism for a holding device for perforated sheets there are arranged fixed straight mandrels and swivellably held movable mandrels, the contour of the baseplate being bounded, apart from by rounded portions, by pairs of edges extending parallel to each other. In order to reduce the material requirement in a baseplate of this type, provision is made for the contour to have a recess (21) in the course of one edge and, in the course of the edge running parallel to said edge, a projection (20) opposite said recess. <IMAGE>
