[origin: WO8800315A1] An airfield marker light operating at a relatively low temperature. The marker light comprises a metal casing (1) to be flush-mounted in the ground, the casing having a vertical tube (1) with a lower bottom plate (1a) and including in its lower part a lamp (4) for emitting an upwardly directed light bundle, and optical means (5, 6, 7, 8) through which the upwardly directed light bundle passes and which include an upper, at least partially transparent cover plate (8) for emitting at least one light beam. According to the invention, the lamp (4) is mounted in effective heat conductive contact (3, 2) with the metal casing (1) adjacent to the bottom plate (1a), and the optical means include at least one transparent plate (5), which constitutes or is provided with a layer of a light filter and which along the whole circumference thereof is in effective heat conductive contact with the metal tube casing (1).

La balise comporte un boîtier métallique (1) à encastrer dans le sol, équipé d'un tube vertical (1) comportant une plaque inférieure de fond (1a) et ayant dans sa partie inférieure une lampe (4) émettant un faisceau lumineux dirigé vers le haut, ainsi que des moyens optiques (5, 6, 7, 8) à travers lesquels passe le faisceau lumineux dirigé vers le haut, lesdits moyens comportant une plaque de couverture supérieure au moins partiellement transparente (8) qui émet au moins un faisceau lumineux. Selon l'invention, la lampe (4) est montée de manière à être en contact de conduction thermique effective (3, 2) avec le boîtier métallique (1) adjacent à la plaque de fond (1a), et les moyens optiques comportent au moins une plaque transparente (5), qui constitue ou est dotée d'une couche de filtre lumineux et qui, sur toute la périphérie est en contact de conduction thermique effective avec le boîtier (1) à tube métallique.
