[origin: EP0315067A2] A vacuum brush nozzle for a vacuum cleaning apparatus, in which a height-adjustable, cylinder-type brush is mounted in a rotary manner, which brush is driven by a drive assembly via a belt drive. The drive assembly consists of an air turbine which is driven by the intake airflow which flows through the vacuum brush nozzle. This air-driven drive assembly can be exchanged by a drive assembly which is driven by an electric motor. For this purpose, fastening screws merely have to be unscrewed without further conversion work, since the electric mains connection lead is also mounted on the drive assembly driven by electric motor.
