Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0315740A2] In parenteral nutrition, the problem exists that the individual solutions have to be stored separately and administered jointly or consecutively, it being necessary always to ensure absolute sterility. Particularly when the parenteral nutrition is administered at home by the patient himself, this entails great difficulties. A system is proposed for the storage, preparation and administration of infusion solutions, having individual containers for the storage of individual components (solutions), in which sterilisable connecting elements are provided between connectors of at least two individual containers, the connectors of the filled individual containers being sealed by means of closure valves which can be opened by hand for preparation and administration. <IMAGE>
