[origin: EP0315754A2] The pressing or feeding roller, in particular for articles in sheet or film form, comprises an outer circumferential surface which serves as a pressing surface and is arranged coaxially with respect to a bore running in the longitudinal direction. In order to be able subsequently to demount in a simple manner the pressing or feeding roller from the axle or shaft on which it is arranged for repair purposes and to be able simply and easily to mount a replacement roller, the roller is provided at one point with a slot which extends from the outer circumferential surface to the bore and passes through the end faces, whereas said roller possesses elastic material at least at a point which is diametrically opposite to the slot with respect to the longitudinal axis. With the aid of the elastic material, the parts separated from one another by the slot are joined together in the manner of a hinge. <IMAGE>
