[origin: JPH01137580A] PURPOSE: To enable core wire connection satisfactory in good reproducibility by attaching a pressure head to a support plate movably parallel to the pressure direction to dispose a cut-off device for cutting off the core wire end on the support plate. CONSTITUTION: Core wires are firmly clamped on a core wire mount bed by the pressure surface of a pressure head 16 while being coupled with each other on a material piece. Further, when a support plate 14 approaches further a base plate 10, the core wire end is cut off by a cutter 36 at a right angle to the longitudinal direction of the end. Thus, the coupled core wire ends are arranged straight to be connected to a connector as they are without retreatment. Also, by attaching adjustably the pressure head 16 against a spring, the pressure head 16 is pressed against the core wire with pressure determined by the spring in a press process. Thus, irrespective of various sizes of the core wire, the core wire connection can be surely realized with reproducibility.
