The device is equipped with a combustion chamber (11), in which an inlet opening (13) with an annular nozzle (14) for the introduction of the fuel powder opens, and with, concentrically surrounding the fuel inlet (23), an inlet for primary air, which comprises twist elements, by means of which the air flow is set in rotation in such a manner that a centrally recirculating flow profile appears, there being arranged inside the annular powder nozzle (14) a further fuel supply, which can be controlled and switched off, through a burner nozzle (19) for liquid or gaseous fuels. <IMAGE>

Die Vorrichtung ist ausgerüstet mit einem Verbrennungsraum (11), in dem eine Eintrittsöffnung (13) mit einer Ringdüse (14) zum Einleiten des Brennstoffpulvers mündet, und mit einem den Brennstoff-Eintritt (23) konzentrisch umgebenden Eintritt für Primärluft, der Drallelemente umfaßt, durch die die Luftströmung in Rotation versetzt wird, derart, daß sich ein zentral rezirkulierendes Strömungsprofil einstellt, wobei im Inneren der Pulverringdüse (14) eine weitere, regel- und abschaltbare Brennstoffzufuhr durch eine Brennerdüse (19) für flüssige oder gasförmige Brennstoffe angeordnet ist.
