[origin: JPH01153423A] PURPOSE: To increase the output of a packaging machine for hinge-lid packs by accurately and rapidly mounting two blanks on the upper sides of the pockets by the moving cycle of the blanks or the peripheral direction moving passage. CONSTITUTION: To manufacture the hinge-lid packs from the blanks 10, a folding turret 31 having the flat disc-shaped structure and rotating on a vertical axis, is mounted. This folding turret 31 comprises a number of pockets 32, 33 along a peripheral portion thereof, and each of these pockets accomodates the blanks or the packs. In this folding turret 31, the adjacent pockets 32, 33 are mounted in parallel with each other two by two, for simultaneously receiving and processing two blanks 10. The folding plates 105, 106 are mounted on the fixed positions with the height same as that of the pockets inside in the radial direction of the pockets 32, 33, and the front portions in the rotating direction of the folding turret 31, of the folding plate 106 is retractable in the condition that it is inwardly rotated in the radial direction from the moving path of the pockets 32, 33.
