Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0316605A2] In the rear shaft part (20) of the ski boot, the threaded rod (30), which runs parallel to the sole and transversely to the longitudinal direction (36) of the boot, is mounted rotatably but not longitudinally displaceably. The threaded rod (30) has two opposite- running threads (38, 38'), on which the holding elements (28) with corresponding internal threads (42, 42') are located. By means of the toggle (32), the distance (B) between the holding elements (28) is adjustable. The holding elements (28) act on the inner boot (24) and thus on the heel bone in the region of the Achilles tendon and afford the skier a painless snug fit in the ski boot. After adjustment of the distance (B), the toggle (32) is pivoted into the recess (48) in the rear shaft part (20) in order that it does not project. <IMAGE>
