[origin: EP0317691A1] The insulating envelope comprises a body constituted by a metal barrel (1) and two covers (2, 3), and a casing made of thermally insulating material (4). Each cover has its peripheral edge (13, 15) profiled so as to engage over its entire length under and interact by contact with an internal rim (11, 12) of the barrel (1). Fixing of the covers to the barrel and impermeability are ensured by deformation of the profiled peripheral edges (13, 15) of the covers under the pressure exerted by the material forming the insulating casing (4). <IMAGE>
