A chair (A) is provided with arm rests (21) which are used exclusively as elbow supports. The arm rests (21) are adapted to the size of an elbow. Each elbow support (21) is adjustable vertically and horizontally. The horizontal adjustment is accomplished by a series of disks (5, 8) pivotally connected at vertical axes (a), (b), (c) to the elbow support (21).

Ein Stuhl, insbesondere Drehstuhl, ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß jede Armlehne (21) ausschließlich als Ellenbogenstütze (21) eine der Größe eines Ellenbogens angepaßte Stützfläche zur Abstützung des Ellenbogengelenks hat. Die einzelne Ellenbogenstütze (21) ist vorzugsweise um bis zu drei Vertikalachsen (a, b, c) drehbar und außerdem höhenverstellbar.
