The device is characterised in that it comprises a stepping motor (27) coupled in common to means (20, 40) of transferring empty envelopes to the stuffing station and filled envelopes for ejection, and a circuit (70) to actuate and to control the speed of the motor, actuating the motor according to clock signals produced by a clock circuit (62) in synchronisation with mechanical controls of the machine, and controlling the speed of the motor according to defined numbers of motor steps detected after an envelope is fully past an intermediate point on the transfer path as detected by a detector (29). <??>Application: automated mail processing. <IMAGE>

Le dispositif est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un moteur pas à pas (27), couplé en commun à des moyens de transfert (20, 40) d'enveloppes vides vers le poste d'insertion et d'enveloppes chargées à éjecter, et un circuit (70) de commande et de gestion de vitesse du moteur, commandant l'entraînement du moteur sur des signaux d'horloge élaborés par un circuit d'horloge (62) en synchronisme avec des commandes mécaniques de la machine et gérant la vitesse du moteur sur des nombres définis de pas du moteur détectés à partir de la fin de passage d'enveloppe en un point intermédiaire du chemin de transfert donnée par un détecteur (29).
