The invention relates to a weft insertion device for pneumatic looms having flush-disposed main insertion nozzles, a funnel-shaped alignment aid and a guide channel along the reed. In contradistinction to existing devices of this kind, the invention provides that only the insertion nozzles be pivoted together with the reed in the course of the beating-up of the weft thread, whereas the alignment aid is fixed and its funnel-shaped, tapered opening for the weft thread is constructed as a slot which extends over part of the pivot path of the guide channel provided at the reed and which is also open in the direction of the weft thread shears. Since the components are close together in the weft direction, the weft thread drop is kept to a minimum. The effectiveness of the weft thread shears is in no way impaired and the time available for weft insertion is increased or the weaving rate of the loom can be increased. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Schußfadeneintragvorrichtung für pneumatische Webmaschinen mit fluchtend angeordneten Haupteintragdüsen, trichterförmiger Ausrichtungshilfe und Führungskanal am Riet. Im Gegensatz zu bekannten Vorrichtungen dieser Art werden bei der Erfindung nur die Eintragdüsen gemeinsam mit dem Riet beim Anschlagen desm Schußfadens verschwenkt, wogegen die Ausrichtungshilfe ortsfest angeordnet ist und ihre trichterförmig sich verengende Durchtrittsöffnung für den Schußfaden als Schlitz ausgebildet ist, der sich über einen Teil des Verschwenkweges des am Riet vorgesehenen Führungskanals erstreckt und der außerdem zur Schußfadenschere hin offen ist. Da die Teile in Schußrichtung dicht aneinander anschließen, wird der Schußfadenabfall ganz geringgehalten. Die Wirksamkeit der Schußfadenschere ist in keiner Weise behindert und die für den Schußeintrag zur Verfügung stehende Zeit wird verlängert bzw. die Tourenzahl der Maschine kann erhöht werden.
