[origin: EP0318803A1] The invention relates to a high-temperature protective coating which is formed by an alloy based on nickel, chromium, aluminium and yttrium. It is the object of the invention to improve the adhesive strength of the metal oxide top layer forming on the protective layer and to increase the resistance to oxidation and to corrosion. According to the invention, silicon and zirconium or silicon or tantalum are mixed with the alloy as additives. The yttrium can be replaced with yttrium and hafnium or with hafnium alone.
