[origin: EP0318848A2] Use of hydrogenated polydiene block polymers which have an AB block structure before the hydrogenation, the A block being a polybutadiene containing at most 20% of 1,2-structural units, the B block being a polybutadiene or a butadiene/isoprene copolymer containing more than 35% of 1,2-structural units or being a polyisoprene, the block A/block B weight ratio being 0.25 to 4 and the mean molecular weight being 30,000 to 150,000, as a lubricating oil additive which improves the viscosity index.
