Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0318992A2] A novel silver halide color photographic material is provided comprising on a support light-sensitive layers consisting of a blue-sensitive layer, a green-sensitive layer and a red-sensitive layer, at least one of these color-sensitive layers being composed of a plurality of silver halide emulsion layers having substantially the same color sensitivity and different light sensitivities, characterized in that all of said color-sensitive layers contains a compound which reacts with an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent to release a diffusive development inhibitor or a precursor thereof and/or a compound which cleaves after the reaction with an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent a compound which reacts with another molecule of the oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent to cleave a development inhibitor (hereinafter referred to as "diffusive development inhibitor-releasing compound"). The above material enables to produce pictures with high quality and to control the gradation when film is being into prints. The above material is exposed to light and processed by methods comprising developing, bleaching, fixing, rinsing, stabilizing and drying.
