[origin: EP0319005A2] The fitting of removal openings of containers, made, in particular, of metal sheet, with closures made of plastic is simplified and facilitated if the edge region of the containers is pressed outwards in a tubular manner to form a container nozzle (2) and its free end (3) is reshaped, facing outwards and downwards, so that the closure (4) can be pressed into the opening of the container nozzle and can be tensioned by a pressed-on attachment ring (18) which rests with its upper side (19) against the edge flange (5) of the closure and, surrounding the collar of the container nozzle with a tubular shoulder (20), is supported against the lower edge regions (23) of said nozzle by means of an undercut (22) after being pressed on. Especially in the case of holding rings made of plastic, it has proved to be advantageous that these container nozzles, which are deformed after disadvantageous deformations of the container, and their collar can be adapted in a relatively tension-free manner and thus also still reliably maintain the required sealing even after considerable deformations.
