[origin: EP0319081A1] In counterbalancing masses which can be produced from concrete, one edge of a reinforcing part projects annularly as a connecting element from a basic body made of concrete. The counterbalancing mass can be connected to a lye container by means of this edge and an outer ring. The use of an outer ring increases the outlay involved in the fastening of counterbalancing masses. So that counterbalancing masses can be connected simply and in an at least partially automatable way, connecting elements (7, 15, 15') can be connected to the reinforcing part (5, 5') and each have for a screw connection a passage orifice (9, 19, 19') and, adjacent to this, a region located outside the concrete. The counterbalancing mass is suitable for use in washing machines, spin-dryers or the like. <IMAGE>
