Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0319466A1] The handling vehicle according to the invention has an elongated, essentially U-shaped horizontal projection with a longitudinal frame part (6) and two transverse legs (5). A structure (1) for a handling device is offset on the longitudinal frame part (6) or slightly towards the centre of the vehicle, is rigidly connected to the vehicle body or frame, or is constructed in one piece with the latter. The driver's seat (15), the steering (16) for four-way steering of the wheels and operating elements for the handling device are preferably provided on one leg (5) of the vehicle frame. The said structure (1) for the handling device contains guide rails (10) or other vertical-adjustment elements for the vertical adjustment as well as means for the transverse adjustment of this device. Additional working devices (12) or further manipulators can be provided at the side of the structure or at another point of the structure. To support the load, load-bearing elements (7) are provided on the transverse legs of the vehicle body. <IMAGE>
