Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH01162670A] PURPOSE: To enhance reliability at a high speed, and to use a space to the highest degree by diverting securities to a second conveyor when detecting a distinguishing mark, and constituting so as to deliver the securities to a stacking magazine by a stacking wheel. CONSTITUTION: A deflector 3 is arranged just under a first conveyor track 1. When detecting marked banknotes 2a, these banknotes 2a are transferred to a second conveyor consisting of endless belts 7, 8 by controlling inclined motion of this deflector 3. The banknotes 2a abut to an inclined plate 32 after being diverted over an angle of a paper 90 degrees by a stacking wheel arranged in an outlet end portion. This inclined plate 32 slides the banknotes 2a in a vertical position toward a plate 29 of a stacking magazine, so that the plate 29 retreats stepwise to the opposite side end surface of a tray 28 to form a horizontal directional stack of the sorted banknotes 2a.
