Abstract (en)
A conventional catalytic dewaxing process is improved by high temperature, l77 DEG C<+> (350 DEG F<+>) contact of feed with a sorbent before dewaxing. Preferred sorbents are high surface area materials, e.g., alumina. The sorbent bed helps the conventional dewaxing catalyst to regain most of its original activity after regeneration.
