[origin: EP0319729A2] The sanding device consists of a support part which is movable relative to the surface, carries abrasive material and has suction passages, leading out at a working side, for extracting abrasive dust by means of an external extraction device. To improve the extraction capacity, the orifices of the suction channels are arranged in first surface areas of the working side which are offset in a recessed manner to the inside relative to abrasive second surface areas of the working side. In this arrangement, each first surface area having the orifices of the suction passages is a base of a recess in the working side. <IMAGE>
