[origin: EP0319831A1] The vacuum cleaner has a one-piece push button which has two actuation points spaced apart opposite each other and by means of which both the on-off switch of the vacuum cleaner and the rewinding lock of a cable drum installed in the vacuum cleaner housing can be actuated. The two actuation points (10, 11) are provided on a rigid push button (3), the latter being locked at its one actuation point (10), when the other actuation point (11) is actuated, by stop (18, 19) and blocking (17a, 19a) members, provided on said push button, in interaction with stop (20, 21) and blocking (23a, 23b) members provided on the vacuum cleaner housing. <IMAGE>
