The invention relates to an electrically driven cleaning device such as a spray extraction device, floor cleaning machine, water extractor or the like. The one plug half (9) of a plug connecting device (8), having two plug halves (9, 18) with mutually complementary insertion parts (16, 17), is arranged thereon, which plug connecting device (8) is used for distribution of electrical power within the device. Es handelt sich um ein elektrisch antreibbares Reinigungsgerät wie Sprühextraktionsgerät, Bodenreinigungsmaschine, Wassersauger od.dgl. An ihm ist die eine Steckhälfte (9) einer zwei Steckhälften (9, 18) mit zueinander komplementären Einsteckpartien (16,17) aufweisenden Steckverbindungseinrichtung (8) angeordnet, die zur geräteinternen Verteilung elektrischer Energie dient. Der geräteseitigen Steckhälfte (9) ist eine Schutzabdeckung (19) zugeordnet, die bei getrennter Steckverbindung (7) im Schließzustand die Einsteckpartie (16) der Steckhälfte (9) zur Umgebung hin abschirmt. Um die Steckverbindung (8) herstellen zu können, ist die entfernbar.
