1. Door jamb sealing of coke ovens with horizontal chambers with buckstays arranged vertically in front of the quoin ends of the ovens and supporting the wall protection plates behind them with the lateral ends of the wall protection plates extending under the door jamb surrounding the chamber opening and the door jamb side facing the oven quoin being sealed towards the oven quoin brickwork or against a brick protection strip arranged in between by means of a sealing element characterized in that the sealing element (11) is arranged on a circumferential flexible diaphragm sealing plate (12) which is attached to the door jamb (6) or to the brick protection plate (8) and presses the sealing element (11) resiliently against the brick protection plate (8) and the oven quoin brickwork (14) or against the door jamb (6).

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Kammerrahmenabdichtung von Horizontalkammerverkokungsöfen mit vor den Kopfseiten der Öfen stehenden senkrechten Ankerständern (1) zur Abstützung der dahinter angeordneten Wandschutzplatten (3), wobei die seitlichen Enden der Wandschutzplatten sich bis hinter den die Kammeröffnung umgebenden Kammerrahmen (6) erstrecken und die ofenkopfseitige Fläche des Kammerrahmens mit einem Dichtelement (11) gegenüber dem Ofenkopfmauerwerk (14) oder einer dazwischen angeordneten Steinschutzleiste (8) abgedichtet ist. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, daß das Dichtelement an einer umlaufenden elastischen Membrandichtungsplatte (12) angeordnet ist, die am Kammerrahmen (6) oder an der Steinschutzleiste (8) befestigt ist und das Dichtelement (11) federnd gegen die Steinschutzleiste (8) bzw. das Ofenkopfmauerwerk (14) oder gegen den Kammerrahmen (6) preßt.
