[origin: EP0320731A2] In order to combine the separate parts, rings (29) and cores (30), for ring-and-core coins in the revolving plate (23, 24) of an automatic embossing machine, and to pass these two-part blanks, formed in this manner, to the embossing station (26), a second metering device (3), an additional blank channel (7) and a second separation shaft (9) with a separation slider (12) are provided. The metering device (2) already present, with identical feed means (6, 8, 11), is used to feed rings (29), and the second metering device (3) with the feed means (7, 9, 12) is used for the feeding of cores (30). These means are so designed and arranged that first the ring (29) and then the core (30) are released onto the revolving plate (23, 24) so that the core (30) is pushed into the ring (29) which has previously been introduced into the revolving plate (23, 24), and is fed simultaneously with the latter to the embossing station (26). <IMAGE>
