[origin: EP0320795A2] For the operation of servo drives in motor vehicles, oil-lubricated vane-type vacuum pumps are used. In order to reduce the oil consumption and to improve the output, the rotor (5) is supported on one side and provided with an internal bore (21) extending from the free end. In this way a vacuum is produced in the internal bore (21) which is approximately as great as in the intake chamber. <IMAGE>
