[origin: EP0320872A2] Variable sheet size rotary web printing machine with a plurality of units (9 to 18), some being multiple units, for printing forms. A rotating disc (29) is employed which is connected through a twelve inch gear (31) to the drive shaft (23). One side of the disc (29) features a concentrically arranged ring of equally-spaced marks (39). The scanned marks (39) are counted in order to stop the machine at a preselected position on each occasion when the machine is to be brought to a halt. By counting the scanned marks (39), the number of forms printed is also determined. <IMAGE>
