The printer has an interchangeable, insertable ink ribbon cassette which possesses storage space for an ink ribbon and a transport device for the ink ribbon, which can be driven by an electric motor via a reduction gear. The susceptibility of the printer to repair requirements is reduced by arranging the electric motor (12) and the reduction gear (15, 16) in a drive housing (6) firmly integrated with the housing of the ink ribbon cassette and means (7 to 10) by providing for establishing a current connection from the motor (12) to the printer by means of a detachable contact connection. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Drucker mit einer austauschbar einlegbaren Farbbandkassette, welche einen Speicherraum für ein Farbband und eine über ein Untersetzungsgetriebe durch einen Elektromotor antreibbare Transporteinrichtung für das Farbband aufweist. Die Reparaturanfälligkeit des Druckers wird dadurch verringert, daß der Elektromotor (12) und das Untersetzungsgetriebe (15,16) in einem an das Gehäuse der Farbbandkassette fest integrierten Antriebsgehäuse (6) angeordnet und daß Mittel (7 bis 10) zur Herstellung einer Stromverbindung vom Motor (12) zum Drucker mittels einer lösbaren Kontaktverbindung vorgesehen sind.
