[origin: JPH01195690A] PURPOSE: To satisfactorily detect the heated state of food by controlling an output control device for a microwave generator via a sensor detecting the microwave energy potential. CONSTITUTION: A sensor detecting the microwave energy potential is arranged between a microwave generator MG and the food GG fed with microwave energy in a chamber GR filled with the microwave energy. An output control device LS for the microwave generator MG is controlled via the sensor. The situation that the heated food GG is changed in relation to the microwave absorbing capability is detected by the sensor. The relation between the incident microwave energy and the absorbed microwave energy can be evaluated as the absolute value of the microwave energy space potential, or the change of the potential in time can be evaluated.
