Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0321800A1] 1. Locking device for a blind formed from horizontal profiled rods or pieces of fabric, which can be raised and lowered by means of a winding-up shaft (6), mounted parallel above the blind, and the lower end of which is formed by a profiled rod which is mounted with end axle journals (4) in guide bodies (9) which are suspended from lifting belts and in turn are displaceable in U-rails (1), each guide body (9) having a chamber (19) open to one of the rail walls and containing a locking body (22) and the rail wall and the facing chamber wall with parts (21) converging downwards and forming two wedge surfaces so that the locking body is, as a result of its dead weight, in friction contact with the wedge surfaces and when the bottom profiled rod is raised, assumes a locking position, characterized in that, below the guide body (9), a weight (10) is present, which can be displaced vertically by means of the winding-up shaft (6) and which, when raised by means of the lifting belts, pushes a cam (25) into the chamber (19) ; open at the bottom, of the guide body (9) and brings the locking body (22) out of its locking position, or, as the distance from the guide body (9) increases, allows the locking body (22) to return into the locking position.
