Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0321902A1] The connecting device is composed of a retaining frame (19) and retaining means, fastened to the tool (8), in the form of a retaining shaft (27) and a bearing support (31). The retaining frame (19) designed as a bell-crank lever has a half bearing shell (35) for enclosing the retaining shaft (27) and a connecting shaft (37) for inserting into the bearing support (31). The bearing frame (19) is mounted by means of two joints (14, 15) on the end arm (7) of a boom of an excavator and on a guide link (13) of a linear motor (10) interacting with the end arm (7). To connect a tool (8), the connecting shaft (37) is moved by means of a handle (38) into a position in which it can be inserted into a bore (32) of the bearing support (31) through a slot (33) made on the bearing support (31) and can be secured by turning the handle (38). By the retaining frame being arranged with the joints (14, 15) directly on the end arm (7) and the guide link (13) respectively, only a small overall height is required for the connecting device. <IMAGE>
