A process for a curling treatment of hair, for example human hair, rolled up on a body, wherein the deformations of the roller body 3,3',3",3"', resulting during a curling treatment of hair, are recorded and fed as measured deformation values to a measured value processing device 7 which compares at least one predetermined measured value characteristic, which corresponds to an optimum sequence of treatment, with the measured values and indicates conformity. Verfahren zur Haarverformungsbehandlung von auf einem Körper aufgewickeltem Haar,z.B. Menschenhaar,wobei die während einer Haarverformungsbehandlung resultierenden Verformungen des Wickelkörpers 3,3',3",3‴ erfaßt werden und als Verformungsmeßwerte einer Meßwertverarbeitungseinrichtung 7 zugeführt werden,die mindestens eine vorgegebene Meßwertcharakteristik, die einem optimalen Behandlungsablauf entspricht,mit den gemessenen Werten vergleicht und eine Übereinstimmung anzeigt. Außerdem wird eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens vorgeschlagen (Fig.2).
