CONSTITUTION: A flange 20 for holding a disk-shaped body 12 equipped with a peripheral processing surface consisting of a grinding material rim is provided with a mounting opening 22 for a holding arbor of a grinding machine. The flange 20 is provided with a circumferential surface 34 with an n-cornered polygonal cross sectional shape in a radial plane. The body 12 of the grinding wheel is kept in contact with the circumferential surface 34 of the flange 20 via elements 32 rotatable relative to the circumferential surface 34 in the circumferential direction, thereby the body 12 can be simply and accurately centered against the flange 20.
