A device for adjusting the distance between a platen and a print head, with a positioning element connected kinematically to the print head and adjustable by an actuating element and with detents to lock the displacement path of the print head at a maximum clearance and at a working clearance. Adjustment in a simple manner of an optimum working clearance for the relevant kind of record carrier is achieved by connecting the actuating element (9, 29, 33) to the positioning element through a slipping clutch (12, 31) which slips in the adjustment direction when a pre-determined level of adjustment force is exceeded, setting the available displacement path of the actuating element (9, 29, 33) to a valve greater than the adjustment range of the positioning element (6, 27) in both directions in the sense that a further movement of the actuating element (9, 29, 33) relative to the positioning element (6, 27) is possible both when the print head (3) bears against the record carrier (1) inserted in front of the platen (2), when the free clearance is achieved and by achieving the locking of the working clearance by means of a retaining force acting on the actuating element (9, 29, 33). <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung zum Einstellen des Abstandes zwischen einem Druckwiderlager und einem Druckkopf, mit einem kinematisch mit dem Druckkopf gekoppelten und über ein Betätigungselement einstellbaren Verstellelement sowie mit Haltemitteln zur Fixierung des Verschiebeweges des Druckkopfes bei einem maximalen Freiabstand und bei einem Arbeitsabstand. Auf einfache Weise ist ein für die jeweilige Art eines Schreibträgers optimaler Arbeitsabstand dadurch einstellbar, daß das Betätigungselement (9,29,33) über eine in Verstellrichtung bei Überschreiten einer vorgegebenen Verstellkraft nachgiebige Rutschkupplung (12,31) mit dem Verstellelement gekoppelt ist, daß der verfügbare Verstellweg des Betätigungselements (9,29,33) den Verstellbereich des Verstellelements (6,27) in beiden Richtungen in der Weise überschreitet, daß sowohl beim Anliegen des Druckkopfes (3) am vor dem Druckwiderlager (2) eingebrachten Schriftträger (1) als auch beim Erreichen des Freiabstandes eine Weiterbewegung des Betätigungselements (9,29,33) relativ zum Verstellelement (6,27) möglich ist, und daß die Fixierung des Arbeitsabstandes durch eine auf das Betätigungselement (9,29,33) einwirkende Haltekraft bewirkt ist.
