A cupboard consisting of separably linked components including at least one rail serving as edge connector and support of fittings, and with a combination of the following features : - The rail is a hollow-profile rail (1) ; - over the rear surface of the hollow-profile rail (1) extends a tongue (2) of barbed-hook profile by means of which the hollow-profile rail (1) is connected to a wall section which is surface-abutting against the rear surface and includes a longitudinal groove ; - the hollow-profile rail (1) has a hollow chamber to accomodate an adjustable spindle which is adjustable in its axial position with respect to the hollow-profile rail and tensionable against the floor or the ceiling of a room (9, 9') ; - the broadside surfaces of the hollow-profile rail (1) include a transverse recess (7) with defining transverse edges, serving as abutment surface of an adjusting nut (8) by which means the adjustable spindle is axially adjustable.
