[origin: EP0322554A1] A rock drill bit for rotary and percussive loading is proposed which has equally good or improved drilling-dust conveying properties with a smaller conveying-groove cross-section. In order to achieve this, a main conveying groove (5, 18) with longitudinal profiles (6, 7 or 16, 17) is formed, with an interrupted secondary conveying groove (8, 20) which is integrated in the main conveying groove and whose conveying ribs (9, 21) have a larger helix angle than the helix angle of the main conveying groove (drawing hereto). <IMAGE>
