In order to prevent unintentional adjustment of a protecting hood provided in a powered hand tool, which protecting hood is rotatably mounted on a clamping neck of the powered hand tool by means of a retaining part, it is proposed that the retaining part of the protecting hood and a locking part facing this retaining part and held on a grinder housing in the area of the clamping neck in such a way as to be locked against rotation be provided with locking elements which can be brought into engagement with one another, that the retaining or locking part have at least one locking element and the other respective part have several locking elements, and that the locking elements can be disengaged against the force of a spring member. <IMAGE>

Um bei einer Handwerkzeugmaschine (1) mit einer mittels eines Halteteils (25) drehbar an einem Spannhals (9) derselben gelagerten Schutzhaube (8) ein unbeabsichtigtes Verstellen der Schutzhaube (8) zu verhindern, wird vorgeschlagen, daß das Halteteil (25) der Schutzhaube (8) und ein diesem zugewandtes an einem Schleifmaschinengehäuse (3) im Bereich des Spannhalses (9) drehfest gehaltenes Feststellteil (25,18,32,40) mit miteinander in Eingriff bringbaren Feststellelementen (27,31,45) versehen sind, daß das Halte- oder Feststellteil (25,18,32,40) mindestens ein Feststellelement (27,31,45) und das jeweils andere Teil mehrere Feststellelemente (26,30) aufweisen und daß die Feststellelemente (27,31,45;26,30) gegen die Kraft eines Federglieds (15,32,43) außer Eingriff bringbar sind.
