In order to improve a plaiting blade for a fabric plaiting aggregate of a fabric plaiting machine, which has a front guide edge, in such a manner that it is capable of stretching a fabric web in its width on laying out, it is proposed that the guide edge has adhesion regions which act upon the fabric web drawn over the edge with a force component directed from a central region to the longitudinal side edges of the web. <IMAGE>

Um eine Legeschaufel (10) für ein Stofflegeaggregat einer Stofflegemaschine, die eine vordere Leitkante (120) aufweist, so zu verbessern, daß diese in der Lage ist, eine Stoffbahn (42) beim Auslegen in ihrer Breite zu strecken, wird vorgeschlagen, daß die Leitkante die darüber gezogene Stoffbahn mit einer von einem Mittenbereich zu deren Längsseitenkanten gerichteten Kraftkomponente beaufschlagende Haftbereiche (340-44) aufweist.
