Dans l'installation décrite, le feuillard (1) passe longitudinalement dans une cuve fermée par un couvercle (3), disposée horizontalement et remplie du liquide de traitement. En vue d'optimiser des installations de ce type et en particuler d'améliorer la qualité du traitement et d'en réduire au minimum la durée, on ménage à l'intérieur de la cuve (2) un canal séparé (4) de traitement, qui est fermé par un couvercle intermédiaire (6) et auquel le milieu de traitement est acheminé par l'intermédiaire de rampes d'ajutages (9, 10).
