[origin: JPH01216803A] PURPOSE: To prevent damage to an outer periphery of a press drum, an endless steel belt or pressure rollers by providing a unit for removing nips in a pressing drum bearing and between stands by operating at a central shaft of the drum. CONSTITUTION: Press rollers 3, 4 and 5 are paired at a pressing drum 2. An endless steel belt 6 is loaded with a high tension by a tension roller 7, and bridged over the drum 2, a turning roller 9, a tension roller 7 and a pressure roller 3. The rollers 3, 4 and 5 are adjustably movable to an axis of the drum 2. The drum 2 is regulated by hydraulic cylinders 10, 11, which are hinge-coupled to an additional bearing 12 and a console 13. When the cylinder 11 is operated, the bearing 12 is pressed down to remove an assembling error between a bearing of a main bearing 16 and a stand 1, i.e., a play 24 and a nip 23 between a roller 19 and an outer race 20.
