[origin: EP0324141A2] Below the raster roller (3) is a doctor blade carrier (9) with a blade (11) on the leading side and a second one (12) on the trailing side. The region between them is sunken to form an ink wall (13) for the bottom of the roller. Preceding the leading blade (11) is a space (41) forming a small auxiliary wall which applies ink to the bottom of the roller. The auxiliary wall is connected by an overflow opening (24) to the larger wall, which is under pressure. The opening can be formed by holes through the leading blade from end to end. The auxiliary wall is between the leading blade and a blocking sheet (40), and forms an overflow, with a drip channel (14) underneath.
