[origin: EP0324140A2] The inking mechanism of an offset printing machine has at least one half-tone roller (3) which is mounted above a trough (13) which contains the ink wiper blades (11,12) which are mounted on each side wall of the trough and have their upper edges in contact with the half-tone roller. The ink is applied to the half-tone roller by an inking roller (42) which is mounted in the trough (13) so that it is partly submerged in the ink. This inking roller rotates in bearings mounted in the trough walls and can be positionally adjusted relative to the half-tone roller.
