A socket for a plug connection for the electrical connection of motor vehicle trailers has a cover (16) which closes under the influence of a spring (26) and rests in a sealing manner on a housing. One limb (28) of the spring (26) rests on the inner side (34) of the cover (16) and is connected thereto, and the inner side (34), together with the spring limb (28), is covered with a seal (40). <IMAGE>

Eine Steckdose für eine Steckverbindung für den elektrischen Anschluß von Kraftfahrzeuganhängern weist einen unter Wirkung einer Feder (26) schließenden, an ein Gehäuse dichtend anliegenden Deckel (16) auf. Ein Schenkel (28) der Feder (26) liegt an der Innenseite (34) des Deckels (16) an und ist mit diesem verbunden, und die Innenseite (34) ist samt Federschenkel (28) mit einer Dichtung (40) abgedeckt.
