Abstract (en)

A clothes steaming and drying cabinet comprising a housing (4) defining an interior region (28) for the clothes. Hangers (135) and a bar (109) is provided for suspending jackets and trousers respectively. Weighted bars (119, 146 and 147) tension the clothes during steaming. A sub housing (33) houses a heating element (150) and a fan (151) for delivering heated air into the interior region (28). A boiler tank (165) generates steam for delivery into the region (28). During the steaming and drying cycle, steam is delivered for a steaming period of the cycle and subsequently heated air is delivered during the drying period of the cycle. During the steaming period, heated air is intermittently delivered into the interior region simultaneously with the steam to reduce the formation of condensation on the interior of the cabinet.
