1. A self-propelling forklift truck of the type having a telescopic arm (6) pivoted under a support (4) formed by two fixed pillars (17) supporting a pivot shaft (18), characterised in that the telescopic arm (6) is offset downwardly with respect to the pivot shaft (18) by a distance (d) substantially equal to 40% of the height of the pivot shaft with respect to the ground.
