Abstract (en)
A method for continuously processing an imagewise exposed silver halide color photographic material with a color developer containing at least one aromatic primary amine color developing agent is disclosed, in which said color developer contains at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a compound represented by formula (I): <CHEM> wherein R<1>, R<2>, and R<3> each represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group; R<4> represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted hydrazino group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted carbamoyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted amino group; or R<3> and R<4> are taken together to form a heterocyclic group; X<1> represents a divalent group; and n represents 0 or 1, provided that when n is 0, R<4> represents an alkyl group, an aryl group, or a heterocyclic group, and a compound represented by formula (II): <CHEM> wherein R<5> represents a substituted alkylene group; and R<6>, R<7>, R<8>, and R<9>, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and said color developer is replenished at a replenishment rate of from 20 to 120 m l per m<2> of the photographic material. The photographic material does not suffer from a variation of photographic characteristics when processed in continuous running even at a low replenishment rate of a color developer.
