[origin: EP0325501A1] Electrical apparatus with automatic cutoff, in particular a differential switch, circuit-breaker or differential circuit-breaker, of the type comprising, between a rotary operating member (31) and a rocking contact-holder (34), a lock mechanism with toggle and ratchet (50) consisting of a connecting-rod (42) articulated on the operating member (31), of a link-rod (44) articulated to the other end of the connecting-rod (42) and to the contact-holder (34), and of a release lever (47) articulated about a fixed axis and provided with a longitudinal slot in which the fulcrum pin (45) between connecting-rod and link-rod can slide, the ratchet being ratcheted on the release lever. The ratchet (50) comprises at least two distinct zones, such as fingers (53, 54, 56) actuated by respective release means. <IMAGE>
