Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0325767A2] The invention is based on the object of fitting low-tension power circuit breakers with main contacts and flexible strips which are interchangeable on site. In this case, the invention relates to the replacement of the main contacts of the moving contact arm. The fixed main contacts are easily removable according to the known prior art. The moving contact arm is designed as a two-piece hinged arm (1, 2) and, with the arc extinguishing chamber removed, the hinge (3, 4, 13) of the hinged arm (1, 2) and the flexible strip mounting (15) on the connecting tab are freely accessible and detachable. The contact supporting part (1) of the hinged arm (1, 2) can be removed together with the flexible strip (9) from the contact system, without further dismantling of the switch, when the hinge (3, 4, 13) and the flexible strip mounting (15) are released. The invention can be used in the case of low-tension power circuit breakers with interchangeable contacts, having at least one contact system which contains a pair of separable main and auxiliary contacts, in which one contact side is mounted in a fixed position, the mating contact side being mounted on a moving contact arm, and the arc extinguishing chamber being removable. <IMAGE>
